Accessibility Statement — Safaee.me
At Safaee.me, we want this website to be usable, readable, and safe for as many people as possible — including visitors with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive differences. This page explains how we think about accessibility and how you can contact us if you face any barriers.
Our commitment
We aim to design and maintain Safaee.me in a way that respects different ways of using the web. This includes people who navigate with a keyboard, use assistive technologies, or need more time and clarity to process information.
In practical terms, our goals are to:
- Use clear page structure, readable typography, and consistent navigation patterns
- Use semantic HTML where possible so that screen readers can better understand the content
- Avoid relying only on color, sound, or fast motion for important information
- Keep improving Safaee.me so more people can enjoy the music, visuals, and community around the project
Our long-term goal is to align Safaee.me with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as far as technically and creatively possible for an artist website.
Accessibility features we are working with
On Safaee.me, we try to implement the following accessibility practices. Some of them are already in place, and others are part of our ongoing roadmap:
- Semantic structure: using headings, lists, and landmarks where possible, so assistive technologies can understand the hierarchy of each page.
- Keyboard navigation: our goal is for core navigation, forms, and links to be accessible using only a keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys).
- Color and contrast: we try to choose color combinations with sufficient contrast, especially for text, buttons, and important user interface elements.
- Text alternatives for visuals: where images or icons carry meaning, we aim to provide alternative text or captions so they can be understood without visuals.
- Responsive design: pages are designed to work on different screen sizes, including phones and tablets, so users can zoom, scroll, and interact comfortably.
- Clear language: on policy, contact, and support pages we aim to keep the language direct, so users can understand their options and rights.
Safaee as a project is highly visual and audio-driven. Some sections may experiment with non-standard layouts or interactions, but we try to balance creative expression with accessibility whenever possible.
Third-party services and platforms
Safaee.me links to and sometimes embeds content from third-party platforms, such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Instagram, and X (Twitter). We do not control the accessibility features of those external services, but we choose mainstream platforms that typically offer their own tools (for example captions, subtitles, playback controls, and assistive technology support).
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is not a one-time project. As we update the design, publish new pages, or experiment with interactive experiences (for example, community areas, forms, or visual stories), we will keep accessibility in mind and adjust where it makes sense and is technically possible.
If you notice something that is hard or impossible to use because of an accessibility issue, your feedback is extremely valuable. It helps us understand where we need to improve.
